Our goal was to integrate technology into the core strategies to strengthen teaching and student learning thus leading to increase student achievement. Students of the 21st century will also need to master skills, knowledge and expertise so that they can succeed in work and life. We as educators need to give today's students the knowledge, skills and expertise to solve problems of today and prepare them for problem solving in the future. We are often preparing students today for jobs that haven't even been invented yet. That is a tall order, so the 9 core strategies that have been identified to help us instruct students each have three specific technologies listed, that are not only creative, reasonable and doable but also will help them master 21st century skills.
